Have you every stopped in your tracks and thought “who am I”? There are certain times that we all try to be someone we are not. It might be to impress new colleagues or entering into a new circle of friends; however, there is a moment where we decide to make ourselves look good and might fall to the temptation to embellish ourselves a bit. The important part is learning who you really are and then believing in yourself.
So who are you?
Sometimes we get so caught up in being a parent, child, professional and spouse, we truly feel like we are losing part of our identity.  It’s important to take time for yourself, by yourself, every now and then to remind yourself that you are an individual with needs of your own.  Take some time and make a list of things that YOU enjoy. Then make time in your busy schedule to enjoy some of these activities.

What do you stand for and believe in?
A lot of our fundamental beliefs were passed down to us by our parents.  We were taught at a young age about morals and values to embrace in life. As adults, some of these beliefs may shift and others abandoned, and it’s important to understand that there is nothing wrong with having your own beliefs. Your parents’ views don’t have to be your views.   Find what it is that you stand for and believe in; then stand tall and believe firmly in your choices.
